LOVE, A LITTLE CLEARER.

The Lovers and the Sun: Enjoyment and Choice

Explore the Lovers and the Sun together, with an optional relationship exercise about enjoyment, appreciation and choices grounded in actual experiences.

The Lovers and the Sun can be read as a prompt to notice what you enjoy in a connection and what you want to choose next. In this optional relationship interpretation, a positive experience is something to appreciate, not proof of a guaranteed future. The pair cannot confirm marriage, pregnancy, mutual feelings or a permanent outcome.

Begin with the symbolic themes

Labyrinthos associates the Lovers with partnerships and choices, and the Sun with joy and confidence. One way to work with those meanings is to reflect on an experience you enjoyed and the choice it brings into view.

Read the Lovers card guide and Sun card guide for the individual meanings. The combined interpretation here is an invitation to reflect; it does not establish what either person will do.

Name a moment rather than the whole relationship

Suppose you had an enjoyable afternoon together. Write down what you liked: an unhurried conversation, a shared activity or the way you made plans. Keep the note specific enough that it describes something that actually happened.

Then try: “I would enjoy more of…” Your answer might suggest another outing or a conversation about spending time together. It does not have to become a conclusion that every part of the relationship is settled.

Make it about your love life.

Turn appreciation into something you can say

You could tell the person: “I enjoyed having time to talk yesterday. Would you like to do that again next week?” This example shares your experience and makes a proposal while leaving room for their answer.

If there is also an unresolved issue, you do not have to erase it to preserve a positive reading. Write it in a separate entry. Enjoying one part of a connection and wanting to discuss another can both be your current position.

Check what you are choosing, not what is promised

Ask yourself whether your next step fits what you want and what you have actually experienced. You can choose to continue getting acquainted or to make an agreed plan with a partner.

Avoid using the pair as a blanket “yes” to a decision involving another person. Their preferences and consent still need to come from them. A warm interpretation is not a substitute for a shared agreement.

Explore your question in a personal reading

For a symbolic perspective on your connection with this person, you can ask a custom question in a Signature Video Reading: “What do I appreciate in this connection, and what would I like to choose next?” Koko personally records the reading, starting at $99 for 15+ minutes. Standard delivery is 7–10 days; optional 24-hour Express adds $49.
